I just wanted to let you know I’m back in rather cold and quiet Northumberland sitting in front of my log fire.

Thank you both so much for a memorable tour which will stay with me forever.

I felt you pulled out all the stops to give everyone a fabulous time.

That takes energy , conviction and sincerity, and I really appreciate it.

It was truly fab

S1 Black Forest Self-Guided

Just got back this afternoon from our trip.

Very many thanks for organising this for us it was everything we had wished for.

The Hotels were spot on, the hotel was fine both on the way to the Black Forest and on the return trip, we even had the same lovely room. The owners and their staff made us most welcome and having  an undercover place to store the bike was also really nice.

The Black Forest Hotel was brilliant, really lovely spacious room with its own private balcony with lovely views of the Forest and huge comfy bed.

The food was excellent with a good choice every night.

The crowning glory for us with this Hotel was the exceptional way we were treated by both the owners and the staff.

Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to help when we had a small problem with the bike, even finding a triumph dealership nearby that would look at the problem for us and phoning and translating for us, brilliant.

We had use of the lockup garage at night, just another nice touch.

The routes and rideouts you sent us were great I programmed them into my sat nav and off we went.

Excellent accommodation , the new chef is brilliant,  superb food, friendly and helpful owners. Undercover bike parking. Both stays there excellent.

Black Forest

Excellent hotel 10 out of 10 on all accounts.

Brilliant staff, very helpful . Secure parking in the owners garage.  Swimming lake great after a hot day riding.

I wanted to drop you a brief note to say a big thank you for organising a wonderful tour of New Zealand South Island. This is my 5th MCI Tour to date and the best yet. The organisation was spot on, the itinerary was perfect for getting a feel for the wonderful places and scenery that New Zealand has to offer. The daily mileages were comfortable and the New Zealanders are some of the friendliest I have met on any travels. The hotels and food (especially the Carrot Cake......) were superb and thanks for arranging perfect weather for the tour!

As my time in New Zealand draws to an end I am genuinely reluctant to leave this wonderful country.

New Zealand 2015

I can say this was with out the best motorcycle trip I have ever been on.

Good scenery hotels food and riders who became friends.

Excellent information and guidance from Alister  and Fiona took us to parts and roads we would have missed

The motorcycles were excellent well maintained with good size panniers to carry the goodies.

I would recommend this tour and company to anyone who wanted to visit new Zealand for the time of their life.

So had the tour, totally flawless. Hotels great, no hassles. Routes were a breeze to follow, with lots of great scenery.
Only got one day of rain, to boot. So all in all a great trip.

Your Greece Tour was definitely one of the best holidays we've had thanks to your planning and attention to detail that gave us an itinerary of full and interesting days. The daily mix of riding, sight seeing, brew and lunch stops plus meals and drinks in the evenings was spot on.

Thanks again for a brilliant holiday,

Corsica & Sardinia 2014

I just wanted to drop you an email thanking you both for a wonderful 12 days touring Corsica & Sardinia as I missed the opportunity to thank you face to face last night or this morning. Having developed a cold during the run up through Sardinia & Corsica and failing to sleep during the crossing to Toulon, I really just wanted to dose myself up and get into bed. I got an early start this morning and managed to board an early ferry to Dover so now sit at home feeling tired but fulfilled at having experienced a wonderful 12 days.
I would like to compliment you both for your organisation and management style, being thorough but not controlling allowing individuals the flexibility to "do their own thing" or "run with the pack" if so desired.

Thank you both once again and I am sure we will meet up again in the future.

Corsica & Sardinia 2014

Now we are back and getting sorted - just a quick message to say thank you both for our holiday in Corsica and Sardinia, What changed this from a long tour into a great holiday was the organisation, routes, locations, but most of all the friendly atmosphere which you generated with great enthusiasm, fun, and humour. This permeated into the tour group, making it more like a long ride-out with old and now new friends.

Thanks again for everything and take care.

Corsica & Sardinia 2014

Just to let you know that I enjoyed the Corsica and Sardinia trip this month immensely.  I have done trips with a least four other organisers and have enjoyed them all but this one was the best.  The arrangements were excellent and we were given lots of information.  One of the highlights were the other guys on the trip.  It was my first MCi trip but I found quite a few kindred spirits right away!  Keep up the good work and hope to see you again soon!

JA, Powys
California Dreaming and Route 66 2013

I would just like to say what a fabulous time I had on the trip. I'm struggling to find fault with anything. Your guides, Rod and Julie, were spot on. Just the right amount of guiding and 'directing' all round. The phase 'Herding cats' readily comes to mind concerning some people. Rod certainly knows his roads and without that knowledge I would never had seen half of what I saw.

The sights were stupendous. Forget cresting the Great Canyon in a helicopter? Never. But not all sights are magnificent as that. I really loved stopping at a dusty diner in the middle of Nowhereville and eating coconut creme pie, drinking coffee served by a waitress who looked as though she had been there since 1950, desert dried until she had the look of a human prune. Real America. And that brings you to the people. Real Americans with real lives. All brilliant with real live stories of their surroundings. I suppose one conversation about Ipswich Town FC in the 70's was a bit surreal but conversation is a two way street. My hope that we would see the 'Other' America was fulfilled, or maybe on reflection only just awakened to just how much more there is remaining to be seen.

Of course no back patting and ego boosting would be complete with mentioning MCi for all their hard work in making this a Bucket List experience. And that means those office bound folk that deal with the nuts and bolts of touring without the glamour of crossing continents.

As for the tour it’s self it exceeded all my expectation all the hotel/motels were good, the riding was excellent with the scenery & National park outstanding. Having Rod & Julie as guides was great too, their expert knowledge of the roads travelled, places to visit the National Parks was outstanding, their care & customer service was second to none. It all seems very easy to jump on a motorcycle & go touring but I’m sure a lot of preparation & hard work goes into organizing a tour such as this, they also have background knowledge of each National Park & places we stopped & visited.

My expectations were surpassed by the day. This tour had been my dream for many years and it did not fail to impress and we have many life lasting memories of a great ride on a great road with great people. MCI’s passion to impress is obvious.

Thank you ever so much again for the Romania Tour - I can honestly say it was one of the best tours I have been on. looking forward to my next ride  with you  Well done MCi Tours

Spain and Portugal Tour 2013

Many thanks to you and Alastair for arranging and leading a fabulous trip. We were a bit apprehensive as we had not been on a bike trip for many years and are rebuilding our experience on 2 wheels. Also we have not been to Portugal before and were very pleased with the experience. I thought Switzerland had all the bendy roads until this trip!

Regarding mci - you provided the environment and the flexibility to the group to enable everyone to enjoy the trip at the pace they were comfortable with and no one was under pressure to keep up. You also cared for us well ensuring we got to where we had to in good time.

Thank you and kind regards.

Just to say what a wonderful journey on Route 66, we both thought it was outstanding, so well organised and a great bunch of people, the highlights The Meat Market, the shooting at the gun range in Albercerque , the rodeo, Gary's place, Grand Canyon, the Angeles Crest Highway ! to name but a few. Also a some cracking roads.
And of course the service and hospitality of everyone we met along the way.

Route 66 2012

I had told all my Friends that doing a RT 66 tour across the USA was a dream, the trip of a lifetime. Well, it was ! Hands down, I had the time of my life ! I can't say enough about our tour guides; Alister, Fionna, Trey, Ellen, Rod, & Julie were fantastic. The tour was very well planned, every day had an itinerary and a goal. But we could still improvise if we wished, and we did several times. We really got into the heartland of America, things you never see or experience zooming past on the interstate. Museums, old-time restaurants, gas stations, stores, etc. And the scenery: we didn't just see it, we 'experienced' it; from mountain peaks to desert plains, it was real, hands-on.

So if anyone asks "Can a British company do a decent tour of America?", I will answer "Absolutely ! Take their RT 66 tour, I guarantee you won't be disappointed !"

hello fionna,   brilliant ,absolutley brilliant.....shame everybody else missed out!!  biggest problem i had was trying to concentrate on the roads, and what roads -how did you arrange to have so many of them recently relaid - honestly , everyday was truelly motorcycle heaven .Highlights  Fortuna to Chester, the long way, missed the turning at Bucks Lake Rd so ended up doing that loop in reverse which added about another 20ml to the day ,not the worst road in the world to have to ride twice!!  Tioga pass and 395 roads - traffic free -395 i dont think i had anyone infront of me the whole way
moto gp turn 4 seats - great views  ,practice starts,Crutchlow playing to the crowds  .    the corkscrew    --  `kinell  ,   cannot describe  the drop !   La Honda and Skyline Blvd great end to the trip    Rooms were great ,especially Lake Tahoe and Yosemite   couldn`t wake up to those every morning ,route plans worked ok.  Why oh why  no-one else was up for this i`ll never know,  but ey oh ,will definetly recommend you to freinds and maybe do it again ,      many thanks

Norway Self Guided

Hello Julie,
Just a quick note to thank you for organising our trip to Norway.
It all ran very smoothly, all the Hotels were excellent and the route gave us a great mix of all the superb scenery. We loved it and definitely plan to go back at some point and maybe head further North. Almost consistently dry and sunny weather helped as I think we had 1 fairly wet day in 13, so that was an unexpected bonus! Early June is clearly the time to go, still quiet in terms of tourists and chance of great weather.

Thanks again

Self Guided Tour - Provence

Dear Julie,

Sorry about the delay in getting back to you with some feedback about our recent holiday in France – things have been a bit hectic since we got home and the time has just flown. However, I've now completed the questionnaire you sent us and it's in the post. This is by way of a more personal reflection on our holiday experience – if any of it's useful for testimonial purposes in any way please feel free to use it as you will. Also I apologise in advance for it's length – my original intention had been a quick note but how do you encapsulate a fantastic 14 days into one page, so I gave up and just wrote what I felt. And even now it's probably not done it justice, however...

Firstly let me say straight away, we had an absolutely wonderful holiday due in no small part to the way MCi organised and planned it. Every aspect of the MCi content went like clockwork and V and I would have no hesitation in using your planning service again and are already recommending it to our friends.

All that remains is for us to send a very big thank you to MCi Tours for providing us with one of the best holidays we've ever had – and an especial thank you to you, Julie, for having the patience to listen so carefully to what we wanted and then taking such care in making it happen.

I want to take this oppotunity to say thank you for a great trip to the Dutch TT, I really enjoyed the whole experience. Well done.
Thanks also Julie for all her help. It's always a good start when there is a friendly voice on the end of the phone and nothing was too much trouble to help a 'first timer' like me.
I hope to be able to tour with you again in the future.

Hi, just a quick note to thank-you both for another great tour around the Black Forest, Bavaria and the Champagne region.
We both had a really enjoyable time (despite the distractions from home) and the people on the tour, were, as ever, a pleasure to get to know.
Hopefully you both had a good (and safe) journey home, sorry we missed you on the ferry, but we just dumped ourselves on the first chairs we found. I’ll be waiting in eager anticipation to see what is finalised later this year .
We’ll see you at the NEC if not before and hopefully on a tour (or 2) next year

Pyrenees - Self Guided

An Italian and a Brit Enjoy The Pyrenees. Two years ago my brother in law Mick and myself without any plan, travel insurance, or accommodation loaded up our bikes with camping gear and clothes and took a Ferry from Portsmouth to Santander. Well long story short it was a bit of a disaster. No plan and too many decisions to make in a strange country were too much. Not deterred we planned to return but this time we would ride down through France spend 5 days in the Pyrenees and 2 days riding through Spain and get the Santander ferry back home. Experience told us planning was all, and we decided to try out MCI Tours. This turned out to be the best decision we could have made.

The central location of most of the hotels was great as once you park the bike up you don't want to get it out again to go into towns.  Secure parking was also appreciated. We were all very satisfied with the services you provided.  Well done!

Self Guided - Germany & Scandinvia

I recently did a Self Guided tour to Germany & Scandinavia, but the highlight of the tour was definitely the Harz Mountains.  The roads and the scenery are fantastic and if you like riding bendy roads, like me, I cannot recommend this tour enough.  The B&B is in a perfect position for riding out from.  The village is really nice with plenty of restaurants to eat out at and shops for the ladies. There are plenty of historic places with castles and picturesque houses but for me it was the thrill of riding the bends!  All in all fantastic!

I did my presentation to the Probus Men's Club in December and they were so impressed with your tour of Romania and Hungary and how you were so informative. A lot of them are war veterons are were intrigued with our visit to Hitler's Parade ground, the concentration camp and the Palace we stayed in in Vienna. I just want to thank you again for making my adventure more interesting and so memorable. (They said that I was an excellent speaker because I embraced my trip and that I must have had wonderful and inspirational tour guides. Many, many thanks for providing a great trip which we thoroughly enjoyed and are so glad we chose. We had a wonderful time, the scenery was fantastic, the roads brilliant, the weather good and all the people we met were so friendly and helpful.

The bike was well prepared, used little oil and never missed a beat.

Thanks to Julie for all the extra work getting around the Christchurch problems. Fionna, your selection of hotels and B&Bs was just right; we found the nine days from Russell to Te Anau a bit much but we're not sure how you could have found another two nighter during that period after the earthquake.

Alastair, the roads are brilliant; while any isolated bits have their match in Europe and America, the fact that you can go 80 - 90% of the day on great roads is just unique.  We also loved the isolation.

We very soon learnt that you can't afford to pass a cafe expecting another down the road - the next place could be 50 or 80 miles away.  In 330 miles from Queenstown to Greymouth there's only one place that could be called a town and miles of beautiful open country and mountains.
