Tour tip: instead of travelling direct to the south coast of France for the ferry to Corsica why not add a couple of nights to the tour and travel through France to the Alps and travel south along the Route Napoleon.  A great enhancement to the tour!

Corsica is steeped in history and is indeed Europe's most exciting island.  Many roads take you through spectacular gorges and over red granite mountains rising from sea level to 800ft in five miles.  It's a sensational motorcycling experience.  Napoleon was born here and Nelson lost an eye fighting him for the rights to fell the straight Corsican pine for his ships' masts.

On this tour you will ride to the south coast of France before taking the ferry to Corsica.  Here we have organised accommodation in two locations on the island to help you to explore the whole of Corsica during your stay.  On the north coast of the island you will stay in a 3* hotel near the delightful resort of St Florent for three nights.  From here you can explore the stunning Cape Corse.  This is a lovely days ride out and you will ride through super little ports such as Erbalunga and Centuri (famous for its lobsters) as you follow the coastal road.  The road gently undulates along the coast, with views out across the Mediterranean towards the Italian islands of Capri and Elba.  And after seeing the east coast then turn down the magnificent west coast with incredible views of the mountains plunging into the sea.  Pass through the cliff-top perched village of Nonza and the capital of Corsican winemaking, Patrimonio, before heading back to your hotel.  With another day at leisure Calvi is a popular choice. 

Our route will then take you south to the lovely west coast of the island near Ajaccio. From here you can criss cross Corsica to make sure that you have fully exploited the very best of the motorcycle riding routes that are available to you. Rest assured that you will benefit from the exquisite experiences we had from our group tours in these brilliant landscapes! Photographs really do not do justice to the quality of the ride.

After an amazing seven nights on the island of Corsica you will then travel back by overnight ferry  to France with an overnight stay en route then onward to catch the ferry for our return to the UK.

Napoleon knew he was in Corsica by the scent of the maquis - ride your motorcycle and breathe an enchanting fragrance of mingling rosemary, pine, lavender and eucalyptus. On this tour you will have time to enjoy your surroundings as well as benefit from the routes and rideouts put together for you.
