We are pleased to offer this lovely tour of Ireland which we have run as an escorted group tour in the past.  This is our standard itinerary but, as with all our self guided tours, it can be "tailor made" to meet your requirements.  Just contact us with your request.

We can offer different ferry routes and hotels in other locations including: Wexford, Waterford, Cobh, Dingle, Doolin, Galway, Sligo and Belfast (where we are working with a motorcycle riding hotel partner) to name a few.  We have contracts with a hotel group that can also offer other locations.

This tour starts at the Holyhead ferry port, and you might want to take a while getting there on a scenic route through north Wales.  Your  sailing gets you into Dublin in plenty of time to check in at our hotel, change and shower before enjoying a night out in Dublin.

In the morning you will start your clockwise lap of Ireland riding south through Wicklow, Wexford, Waterford and Cork to your lovely hotel in Kerry. The next day, leaving your luggage  at the hotel we have a planned ride-out round the Ring of Kerry, and for those full of enthusiasm you can ride the Ring of Beara too!

From this most south-westerly point of your lap of Ireland you head north through Limerick, Clare and Galway, across lush green countryside and parts of the Wild Atlantic Way. Taking a route via the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher, your next base is in County Mayo. The west coast of Ireland is dramatic and spectacular, and your ride-out from here takes you onto the Wild Atlantic Way again, and the Connemara Loop is available too if you have not had enough.

Heading north again through Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal, you enter Northern Ireland at (London)Derry, and continue east to your next base in Portrush (home of the North West 200 road races). The free day here gives you an opportunity to visit the Giants Causeway, Bushmills Distillery, walk the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge (if you have a head for heights) and of course pay a visit to Joey’s Bar, via the Dark Hedges that some of you may know from the Game of Thrones TV series. Or if the weather is exceptionally good take a ride up to Malin Head, Irelands most northerly point.

Yur last leg takes you south back to Dublin, hugging the coast most of the way, to your last overnight stay back in Dublin once again. With only an afternoon ferry to worry about the following day you will have the opportunity to explore the bustling Temple Bar area for a bite to eat, and perhaps sink a pint or two of the black stuff.

A total of about 1350 miles in Ireland (plus whatever it takes you to get to and from Holyhead) with the longest day being about 250 miles. Ireland has beautiful landscape, and the dramatic cliffs of the west coast are just awesome. The loughs and mountains come a close second scenery wise, and of course there is the famous hospitality and culture. Come along and enjoy the craic, but pack your waterproofs, just in case...
