Austria and Northern Italy's diverse and scenic landscapes seem almost purpose designed for motorcyclists, so let us whet your appetite for the most varied, different and diversified mountain regions, and everything that has to be experienced and admired while passing through them. This double-whammy star of a tour takes in a winning combination of breath-taking alpine passes and mountain roads across three countries, but only after we’ve whipped through France, Belgium, Holland and Germany first.

The tour starts from Dover (other connections can be arranged) to our first 4 star overnight stay in Saarbrücken, and after riding further into Germany get ready to gaze up at the mouth-watering mountains of the Alps. Once in Austria we roll on down in between the Tyrolean Alps and arrive at the chalet-style but very modern 4 star hotel where we’ll base ourselves for 3 nights. The unusual 3/4 board provided by this hotel means there will be magnificent cakes and treets along with tea and coffee available during the afternoon.

Riding your motorcycle through the bends and turns of an Alpine Pass on a sunny day is so much fun it’s almost obscene! We will unwrap the high altitude treasures of Austria, Italy and Switzerland such as the Stelvio and Timmelsjoch passes, all in the space of a carefully planned ride-out that takes in every conceivable type of road framed by world class views.

We travel onwards to Italy via the Brenner Pass, or the Timmelsjoch if you have not already done that, or the Grossglockner if you are feeling enthusiastic. Our 3 star ski resort hotel nestles in the heart of the Italian Dolomites with views of the spectacular Marmolada area, over 3000 metres high. With three nights at this hotel you have the time to ride the Great Dolomite Road, and/or do a lap around the Marmolada, or even ride down to Lake Garda if the fancy takes you!

Our return leg sees us stay overnight at another 4 star hotel in Ulm (via Garmisch), and last 4 star hotel in Metz before heading to Calais for our return ferry crossing back to the UK.
