Swiss Passes

Switzerland! Here at last! We have been asked so many times to include Switzerland as a destination – so here it is...

Glorious mountain passes, famous resorts, stunning lakes and miles and miles of exciting roads to discover. Ride through lush, hilly meadows, past cliffs, glaciers and round curves and hairpins - an unforgettable experience for any biking enthusiast.

Stay in a picturesque village in an unspoilt alpine valley, just south of the Alps towards Italy, beautifully located at the foot of the Furka, Grimsel and Nufenen Passes. Your rides out must include your choice of these famous Swiss passes - Gotthard Pass, Susten Pass, Operalp Pass, Lukmanier Pass, Simplon Pass, San Bernadino Pass, Klausen Pass and also the Canyon of Centovalli on the way to Italy! The list goes on!

Beautiful lakes Maggiore and Lugano, Grand Dixence, the Matterhorn, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau – words that melt like Swiss chocolate on your tongue – can all be reached within two to three hours.

There’s a whole range of rides out (carefully put together by your motorcycle riding host) to whet your appetite. There are two “Four Passes” rideouts (both equally good), an "Eight Passes marathon", a lovely ride out to the beautiful lakes of Thun and Brien which includes Interlaken and Sherlock Holmes’ Meiringen. Add to that Zermatt and “Bella Italia” and there is more than enough to keep you busy!

After your day's ride you will return to your motorcycle friendly hotel in a pretty, quiet village. There is a spacious garage, repair tools, drying room and maps for reference. The hotel is of a typical Swiss chalet style and all rooms are en-suite with hairdryer. Your buffet breakfast and a five course dinner will be served in the hotel restaurant. Try the house specialities (including their own Schapps) and on a warm summer evening enjoy a beer on the terrace.
